Well, I got my new mobility scooter today and must say that it feels wonderful to be able to get to the shops in the normal 10-15 minutes compared to the hour and twenty ish minute walk it usually takes me to get there. What has lately been a pain-filled four hour walk to get to the shop, walk round it and get back took a much more normal hour. Saving me three whole hours and a shed-load of pain. Lets just say that all my apprehension over whether or not I was doing the right thing has been snuffed out by the very fact that Ive not been worn out into sleeping all afternoon and evening from exhausting myself by what used to be a simple walk to the shops! I was able to go to my friends birthday meal and enjoy it rather than spend my time in agony and forcing myself to stay awake. I am starting to get tired now and will be going to bed soon, and thats good, as when my body forces me to nap in the day I often then cannot sleep for most of the night and its bad enough when Im awake due to pain and feeling uncomfortably hot. I know that Ill still be tired when I wake up in the morning as no amount of sleep actually makes me feel rested, but at least I may have some extra energy for the day which is a big improvement for me and will go a long way to improving my quality of life. On another note, my little girl starts school tomorrow! Doesnt feel like five weeks since I had her let alone nearly five years! Cant believe my sweet cheeks will be at school from now on. Bless her little cottons! You never really believe people when they tell you that your children grow up fast - but it really is true, the time absolutely flies by. I miss the days when shed lay in my arms for long cuddles and chatter with me. These days its a brief hug and then shes off again.
