Well, I got up 3:10 this morning raring to go to Planet Fitness…I can hardly wait. Yeah right! I actually see people out there who are like that; they seem to enjoy pain. Seriously, I do enjoy the exercise routine thanks to our friends who share their time making sure I get it all done properly and who so far have not laughed too much at my discomfort. Some times I worry about some of the folks who seem to push themselves to the extreme. Who am I kidding, I’ll never look like a gray-headed Mr. Universe and I just want to tone up some of the stuff that gravity has taken over. I’m like the old man who once said he had the furniture disease…my chest has fallen into my drawers. I want to thank our good friend, Jack Jackson, who graciously delivered the washing machine to our daughter, Karen’s, house yesterday. I don’t know what we would do without caring folks like him. Now, there’s a man who could pass for Mr. Universe, he’s got muscles on top of muscles. I got muscles, too, but I just look like I left mine in my other suit. Anyway, thanks a bunch Jack for you thoughtfulness. Did you folks see that storm that actually rolled through our area last evening? I have never seen anything like this humongous, white, rolling cloud that seemed to be alive. We stood in awe outside the Northstone County Club near Huntersville, and I had Vickie to make a quick photo of it with her little camera, (My camera was still in her car). I sent the pic into WBTV and Eric Thomas showed it on the 10:00 News during his weather forecast. He called the phenomena, a rolling cloud. Storm or no storm, we still got to attend the coronation, I mean installation, of our good friend, Stephanie Ann Bradley as the new president of the Huntersville/Lake Norman Rotary Club. Since my Canon T1i was still in Vickie’s Rogue, she took several pics with her camera. To tell you the truth, I felt naked without my trusty SLR so Stephanie had me taking pics with her new Canon Sure Shot. It was a great evening and our hearty congratulations go to Stephanie and her new board of directors as they embark on the new Rotary year…I like that word embark, don’t you? If anybody can embark, that Stephanie Bradley can. I got a couple of quite memorable hugs from Stephanie, well maybe a few more than a couple, and I’m proud to say that I survived them all. My exercising is already paying off; I’m not even sore after her vice-like embraces. She even remarked that she could tell the difference in me since my eyes didn’t bug out and I could still breathe pretty normally. I wouldn’t mind getting squeezed to death by that girl, she makes it enjoyable. I hope you all have a great day filled with sunshine and good wishes. God Bless!!
