Well I have finally got the M machine slam panel where it should be on 162 HKT,,..,,made up this wooden block and levered it (and hit it many times of course) only 3/16 upward and then 3/16 outwards, now it follows the line of the original bonnet. Dont forget to cut the upright bar then re-weld afterwards. I have also drilled and screwed in the grill and moustache trim to check at this stage and it now fits as it should. last job was to plug weld the rest in place. Next job with this will be completing the front end prep. Phew !!!
