Well I have learned a lot today! Did you know that over three fourths of the population is deficient in this mineral? Did you know that it is responsible for over 300 interactions in the body every day? How do we lose it and need to replenish it? Sweat, stress, diarrhea, etc. I have researched doctors saying that it is impossible to get what we need from our food sources totally. We must supplement with this mineral daily. It is responsible for so many things in the body but specifically related to muscles and causing them to relax. Some of the side effects of a deficiency are headaches, stress, anxiety, IBS, muscle cramps irritability, eye twitches, diabetes, high blood pressure, heart arrhythmias, reflux, etc! They say if you are eating white rice, white bread, sugars, etc you ARE magnesium deficient. It takes 25 molecules of magnesium to metabolize 1 gram of sugar! YIKES. and all most of us eat are sugars! No wonder we are an irritable bunch!! Guess this is why my favorite supplement contains magnesium..... do you take any?
