Well I have now been home several days and Im doing ok with all things considered. I do have an IV infusion pump with a PICC line running into my arm. The IV delivers constant medication to my heart. I was able to spend time with some of my family on Sunday afternoon. I had a big crew here at my house and it was nice to be able to feel somewhat normal again. It was the first time I was really up to visiting with anyone, so Im thankful for that small victory. Im hoping to get a call from Duke this week that I am officially on the transplant list. Ive completed all of the evaluations required and now we just hurry up and wait. Sometimes, I cant even believe it when I tell people that I need a heart transplant. Wow! Today is somewhat difficult for me because under normal circumstances, I would be back to school and prepping my room for a new group of students. There are many things I no longer conquer alone, including my personal needs. However, I choose not to focus on what I cant do or dont have, but look at all the wonderful blessings God has sent my way. He woke me up this morning and let the sun shine so that I can see another day. Hes molding me through all of this tragedy...My triumph is on the way! You just watch and see. \0/
