Well, I have seen 3 doctors within the last week, my breast surgeon, reconstruction surgeon, and oncologist. After the bad news of being diagnosed with breast cancer, I have gotten all good news since then. It is stage 1, which is early, that is good! It is also estrogen positive, and HER2 negative, all good news. This means my treatment will not involve chemotherapy! It will entail hormone therapy for approximately 5 years, which seems to make all my doctors happy. I am not exactly looking forward to the side effects, but, better safe than sorry. I am still recovering from the last surgery involving the reconstruction. It was a much more intense surgery than I realized. I have an 18.5 inch incension right across the middle of my abdomen!!! The doctor took skin, tissue, and blood vessels from my abdomen and rolled them under my skin up to my breast to build it, they also took part of a muscle from my abdomen and rolled it up also. I am still very, very sore! I do know I will be okay, and my spirits are very high! Keep those prayers coming! Love and hugs to all!
