Well, I have to admit that I am having a moment I guess It might be called a rant. I came home after having injections in both knees for arthritis (in operable due to the lymphedema development after cancer) my mobility is becoming more difficult as time goes on. The cortisone shots give about a window of three months and of course because I am a bit on the stubborn side I try to go a bit longer. There will probably be a time that the shots do not work for me but, will cross that bridge when I get there. This may seem like my rant but no (this is just life) my rant would be to come home and find a pink slip on my door from the public safety office regarding Scattered Rubbish in front of my garage door and on my doorsteps and front porch. True there are items in front of my garage door and there are two boxes going up my steps and the porch does have some toys (grandson) bottled water, diet rootbeer, soccer ball, and two empty boxes (to put items in as we are cleaning out the garage). Our garage has been holding stuff since we moved here in 1998 and we have accumulated many items from both of our parents after their passing. It will take us quite sometime to go through all of this and hence things will be outside our garage and inside until we get it done. Oops, Merry not so fast -according to the pink slip we have till October 20,2014 to get the Scattered Garbage taken care of. The fine will be 294.00 if not done by then. I guess my question or rant would be could you not have called or least informed us of what you considered a problem? or hear what we are in the middle of doing? I dont know if there is a time limit on cleaning out a garage but, Welllllllllll. I called and asked for a return call from the officer and have yet to hear from him. I have never had any notification every and have lived in Grants Pass since 1970. Scattered Rubbish I dont see it,working with the public and creating a positive community rapport would seem to be better approach. We started this project at the end of August and it will take us into November to finish it.
