Well I just changed my insurance. I had Health Net Managed Care this year with a zero co-pay for inpatient care. For 2014, Health Net will charge $150.00 per day for inpatient services. Learned from Beaver Medical Group that the other managed cares for seniors that they accept do not charge for inpatient services. My insurance agent says Health Net signed up under Covered California (Obamacare in California) and they need to finance this some way, so they are going after Medicare patients under the Managed Care Act. So I am changing from Health Net to Scan Health Plan. Scan has a zero co-pay for inpatient admits. It is interesting that Beaver Medical Group will accept only one health plan under, Covered California and that is Health Net and this is for patients under 65.
