Well, I just completed my last shift at GLC! Over twelve years ago, I left a job w/o a new one ( which Id Never Ever done )- The next day I went everywhere filling out apps and giving out my resume..At the end of that day, I hesitantly went to GLC and applied and they hired me right then!..I came home and CRIED!!!! I had to work but I DID NOT want to work at a nursing home!.....Or so I thought!!! The good news is that the Good Lord knew what I needed More than I did and He knew where I was supposed to be ....I have had some great times, countless laughs & good conversations with both co-workers and residents..countless cries as well, I have made thousands of wonderful memories, learned so many life and educational lessons, had so many hugs, kisses and I love yous from the sweetest grannys and Granddaddys in the world!!! I have had some co-workers & family members that I love dearly and will Never Ever forget (& some that I wish I could forget, as well ;-) .. After months of prayer and consideration, I know that it is time to move on ....Who knows if I will ever return to NH work or not, but I am SO VERY THANKFUL that I was planted there for a time!!! Point of the story, Once again...HE always knows what is best for us, even when we cant see it!!!! .... Prayers for nothing but greatness for everyone at GLC, both residents and staff!!!
