Well, I just got a call from Dads neurosurgeons PA, and she said that Dads pain is coming from the T5 area (which is right in between T4 and T6, both of which have had kyphoplasty procedures done on in the past). The radiologists report doesnt show a fracture, so another neurosurgeon, who is covering for Dads neurosurgeon (who is now on vacation for the next 10 days or so) will consult with us. The PA said that conservative treatment (pain meds) will likely be what is advised. I had to give up Dads bed at rehab this morning and will be picking up his things there shortly. I am guessing that the hospital will want Dad discharged ASAP, and that they wont admit him as in patient for the pain control. I have a suspicion that they will recommend that he go to a nursing home until the pain is resolved, but I really dont know that for sure. Praying for Gods BEST, as always, and for wisdom. Sharon Stoia, Debbie Barrett, Donna Stebbins-Lombardo, Donna Stebbins, Sue Flynn, and Pat Griffith would probably want to know this update about Jerry Stebbins
