Well, I never posted anything from clinic Tuesday but everything - TopicsExpress

Well, I never posted anything from clinic Tuesday but everything was great. Her body is tolerating the higher doses of chemo very well, hopefully we will soon be up to full doses on everything. She has taken the last high dose of Dex, starting next month, the dose is almost cut in half. Also, next week will be her final dose of her chemo that takes 4 hours! Couple huge milestones for her...she is getting there! Pretty soon it will just be a memory, that I hope never comes back to haunt us. I am already starting the panic of what happens when treatments are done, and she isnt getting checked out every week? Its in Gods hands and what He wants will be and we just have to have faith in that and enjoy everyday. Another awesome thing for us is that Kylie has been making it to school everyday except clinic day. As some of you know, its been a struggle to get her there and to stay there...but we shortened her days by about an hour and she comes home and is asleep within 20 minutes. But at least she is getting the academic part of the day in. I have to say that we have an awesome school district that has gone above and beyond to make her days successful. Her teacher has been so awesome and a perfect match for her. Jeff Thompson and Sara Porter have been very hands on with helping her as well. I feel completely blessed to have such a great group of people working with her. She loves all of them and is even starting to talk a little...Jeff is still working on her but Sara has came to eat lunch in the cafeteria with her and it has made Kylie so happy! I know people all have complaints about this or that, but let me tell you, these people really do care about the students and do all they can to make things work. Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to share!
