Well, I said I wanted to get Juliet off the farm so she could get some experience but she got way more experience than I had in mind unfortunately. I kept hearing a noise coming from the trailer on the way there but couldnt figure out what it was. We unloaded, walked around the showgrounds, kicked some cowboy butt, loaded up and drove towards home. Still hearing the noise intermittently. Luckily I kept checking my mirrors so when the tire started smoking I noticed it immediately and stopped. Long story short the front axle fell off my trailer! We pulled into a farmers market and unloaded her while we waited for help. Bart came with another trailer and we fiddled and tugged and pulled and got the axle in the back of the trailer while Juliet grazed quietly on the side of the road. We loaded her into the trailer that Bart brought and drove the rest of the way home. Juliet handled everything like a very seasoned pro and everyone make it home safely eventually. I am so thankful for good friends and sane horses. Its 5 oclock somewhere right?
