Well, I showed up for Jury Duty only to find out that it was a drunk driving offense. I immediately thought of Ben and became very uncomfortable with the whole process. It seemed to bring back the whole thing of losing a son all because of a choice to get in a vehicle with a friend who had been drinking and popping prescription pills. I have never really dealt with the anger. I have oppressed it for 8 years. I realized at that moment when the judge told us what the case was about that I was very angry, I immediately thought to myself.....if you are stupid enough to drive drunk then you deserve what ever the law says! In my Mind he was guilty before proved innocent. I disqualified myself from serving. It was also a little emotional for me because the last time I was in court it was for The trial against Devon Byers, Bens friend that was driving when he was killed. R.I.P. Ben. You are incredibly missed and we miss seeing your son James too. Hoping someday God will reunite us with our Grandson. James Andrews if you are out there we have so much love to give you.
