Well, I suppose I had better not put this off any longer. —So Im Alan. Im from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Im one of your philosophic types — My mind is ever buzzing — I am always game for a discourse — at least, I manage as well as I can without breadth of knowledge or experience. I generally (at the best of times) look on life and the world alternately with perplexity and amusement. It seems like people talk about music, so: My favourite band last month was They Might Be Giants. (I havent yet found this months favourite.) That is all I have to say about music. Then there are books: At the moment I am well enthralled with Tristram Shandy, which should take up my reading capacity for at least a couple of weeks yet, depending. Ive also been known to enjoy a bit of Terry Pratchett and Ursula K. LeGuin, to name a couple. I dont think I have any hobbies at the moment,—but you never know. Sometimes I write things, which I find fun. Im greatly looking forward to living in Halifax:—I was there the other week and it seems like a beautiful and vibrant city — But moreover I am excited to meet the rest of you and begin life at Kings. I have already rather had enough of high school. It will be a grand adventure indeed!
