Well I think I am going to have to let the squirrel go tomorrow that I found almost dead in the road on Tuesday. She still has the sniffles a little, and her front paw that was hurt is still not 100%, but she is getting restless being shut up in a closet, even though its nice sized. She is eating and drinking water, which is good since the first two days she did pretty much nothing but sleep. Two nights ago she started going crazy around 7, jumping and climbing the walls, trying to get to a shelf in the closet up high. I was so afraid shed hurt herself. I was in there with her both times, and she kept landing on my back. Tonight she got up on the shelf, by way of my back. I had to get her down, and she was a bit upset. She is a very sweet girl though. She will sit on my leg and let me pet her and talk to her. I have even held her in my arms. She has quite an appetite now. I truly wish I had something to keep her in outside. I am afraid if I let her go too soon she will not make it. Injured squirrels can be shunned by the other ones, even their own family. They are more likely to be attacked by other squirrels, too. I am pretty sure she has been attacked already because of the condition of her ears. Its not fair to keep her where she isnt happy though.
