Well I think I might have a new favorite game. Had my first runthrough (a slightly watered down one) of Dead of Winter tonight with the Missus. This game is fantastic. Its got elements of worker placement, hand management, and especially risk management all rolled in to one package. This best part however is the narrative that emerges from the game even without the awesome crossroad cards and flavor text. For instance, in our game we had a the principal, our colony leader, run off to the school and get eaten by the gym teacher, meanwhile the almost hobo looking mall santa went on a zombie killing spree helping us win the game. Good times! I highly recommend this one! Anyone else had a chance to try it out yet? What did you think? What were some of you favorite moments that happened during your game?
