Well I want to say a BIG thank you to our mighty prayer warriors - TopicsExpress

Well I want to say a BIG thank you to our mighty prayer warriors for continuing to pray for our family! Im not gonna lie...the holidays were HARD...really hard! Other days have been hard and we continue to miss Kenneth dearly! We continue to cry...we continue to selfishly wish there had been a different outcome...that Kenneth would have been the one to beat this terrible disease. But I want to share something with you all. During all my grief and woe is me time I kinda lost site of the big picture...the REALLY BIG picture! The picture that teaches us that to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord. Shame on me! Last week my bestest friend gave me a book, The Afterlife...glimpses of heaven and hell. She is my angel...thank you Lord for your perfect timing! Today as I was reading, these words filled my heart with renewed joy... We are not who we are because of our bodies. We are who we are because of our souls. The soul is a part of us that is eternal and will never cease to exist. When a person dies, the reason why its not all over is that only the body dies; the soul doesnt die. When we die, our soul is IMMEDIATELY separated from the body and delivered to one of two places. You either go up or down folks! It hit me today... Even though we were with Kenneth and before the doctor came into the room, Kenneth was already in heaven! THANK YOU JESUS!!! In the Bible, Paul talks about how he was stoned and left for dead. God took him, snatched his soul to heaven, and then let him return to earth to talk about it. He said he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which man is not permitted to speak (2 Corinthians 12:4). I cant even imagine the joy my superman must be experiencing! I am filled with overflowing joy knowing, without a shadow of a doubt, that Kenneth did not experience death---because the believer in Jesus Christ will NEVER experience it...because the Bible says that the believers death really means to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord ( 2 Corinthians 5:8). Because of His promises, this is only a short separation from my superman...we will be together again! Thank you for loving my family. We love you more! Believed...Received...Gone Home!
