Well, I was hoping to buy a house, had already put down the deposit, etc. Now Chase, who I was going through for the home loan, wants information I cannot possibly supply. Item one, a tax return from 2012 that itemizes my business expenses. I used 1040EZ that year, because my business expenses were about $300-400, and my standard deduction was larger than any I could have itemized. Then, a profit and loss statement and balance sheet prepared by a third party preparer or CPA. WTF? I sent them royalty statements from Amazon, W2s and 1099s, an itemized return from 2013. I only have eight more days to have the loan finalized according to contract, or I lose my $2,100 deposit. Panic is starting to set in.
