Well, I was quite taken aback today when I received a call from a local Dr office to inform me that a client I sent for paperwork would not meet guidelines and therefore the physician would not be doing our paperwork but instead sending her elsewhere. I was very upset about this finding that apparently this physician does not believe in our program or the good that it does. We do not determine if the client will not meet guidelines that is not for us to do but rather for the companies we are applying to determine. We do not turn anyone away unless they are totally covered in insurance and prescription coverage. BUT we have helped so many Medicare Part D clients in the past so to hear this about a Part D client was a crush to my heart. Most of you that know me realize by now that this program is my baby, my passion and it hurt me to the core to hear that a local physician does not agree with what we do to try to help those in need of our community. I must admit it brought out the monster in me as I tried to persuade the person on the phone to understand my side but to no avail. Oh well we cannot please them all I suppose, it just hurts me that we are not even allowed to make attempts on behalf of this client and it hurt me to have to call and tell her so. I pray that she can get the help she needs elsewhere.
