Well Im emotionally and physically exhausted. But Im home tonight - TopicsExpress

Well Im emotionally and physically exhausted. But Im home tonight to wash my hair and get a good nights sleep. Dave is taking the shift tonite. We checked in last night expecting to see our Pulmonary Doctor at least check in with us. Since he was the one that told us to come in. But we didnt see him last night nor this morning, nor today, until 7:30 tonight......when I had already decided on who I was replacing him with tomorrow morning. Totally frustrating and I could tell he was not in anyway prepared to see Jon David hadnt place any orders all day and was winging it. Dont get me wrong, I know its gotta be hard to be a great doctor and deal with so many patients and issues. I also know Im spoiled because we have some really great doctors ......so I know how they operate. It gives me little patience for anything else. So.....we had a night of little sleep. Lots of coughing etc. Nurses were good, didnt Come in too much to bother us. But he just kept clogging up. Other than having a bag of IV antibiotics we didnt do 1 thing today that we couldnt have done at home. So thats were the frustration came in. Dr. Kiser Jon Davids spinal doctor who communicates by email, thank goodness because he has a huge case load, came in today to check on us and talk about different medication options going forward. He was encouraged that Jon Davids pneumonia is not as bad this time. I can also tell that he is not as sick this time, fever is staying low just a lot of junk in the lungs that I want gone. I guess thats were the frustration came from, because I know if we dont get going they are gonna get worse. So when we finally got to see our Pulmonary Doctor, I had to take him from the obvious quick conclusion down the long confusing road of what was REALLY going on. There is nothing obvious or quick about Jon David. So new cultures will be done, different antibiotics are being tried together and we finally got the ball rolling. Cindy Harper brought us a small potted Christmas tree and a poinsettia and her loving gesture lightened up our room. Later Jeff and Tammy Segars came by for a quick visit and a big hug. Meanwhile we have lots of Elfs working to help pull off the Ft.Roots Veterans Christmas Project. We still need your help! Sometime this weekend we will take inventory of what we have. So we need to start the gathering process. We have Veterans that are happy to pick up any donations , just send me a text 501-517-7222 or email. I cant answer the phone at the hospital but can text and email. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers we fully expect to.be home a lot sooner this time! Much love, Jacki
