Well, Im glad thats over. Nolans sitter had to cancel at the last second so there was a momentary scramble to get him covered, all ended up well luckily- just a stressful start to the day! Sawyer was such a good boy late last night and this morning! He was so so so tired but never cried or complained outside of whimpers and burying his head in my chest. However......Once they laid him on the bed he lost his mind and I spent about 45 min holding him down while he thrashed and sobbed. He eventually gave up and just had a slow trickle of tears running down his cheeks during the actual test. We wont have the results for a few weeks but he didnt have any noticeable seizures as far as I could tell. Had to run to the grocery after with crazy glue hair and a tired boy, ready for a family nap now!! Mama is exhausted, physically and emotionally. Never gets easier to hold down your child for 45 min knowing they are terrified and anxious, ugh. But on a positive note, I bumped into an old classmate at the store who had a gift card for us. Super sweet and turned the day around for sure! During the same trip a stranger walked by after hearing Sawyer giggle and said: what a happy baby you have! Yes, I do. And Im so lucky. Not only to have this miracle still living and breathing but his ability to shake off his trauma is astounding. What a sweet natured little warrior we have, indeed. ❤️
