Well... Im not impressed. Actually kind of underwhelmed. First off, the dialogue is pretty flat, bland and one-dimensional. Second, Chris Pratts character seems a bit too much on the serious side. Its entirely possible that I was expecting to see shades of Star-Lord, but would that really have been a bad idea? And thirdly, Im bothered by the overall tone of the trailer. Too much sense of ominous foreboding and not enough sense of adventure, fun and wonder. The original Jurassic Park managed to contain both in equal measure (from what I remember). Oh, I almost forgot my biggest gripe with this movie: WHY MUST WE HAVE A GENETICALLY MODIFIED DINOSAUR HYBRID?! Why the hell did the producers want a monster in their movie when theyve already got a bunch in ACTUAL DINOSAURS THAT CAN BE BROUGHT TO LIFE! Seriously. Did we really need this overused trope in this movie? Why couldnt they just settle for regular old dinosaurs? Meh, Ill guess well have to wait and see.
