Well Its been one of those nights! first: after waiting weeks to get my special security number & passwords from the NS&I to see if, online, my 40+ year old premium bonds have won me thousands.. and tearing my hair out! and shouting words into the computer I would not use publicly, having to answer never ending banks of security questions if I was filling in a GCHQ questionnaire, I arrived at the moment Id been waiting for. £2 ... thats right two miserable bloody quid! secondly i decided to check out if I had been short listed in a potentially career changing national art competition I entered back in July, well the cruel truth was slowly dawning on me as I scrolled down the online list watching the technically brilliant candy-floss realism flicker by until I reached the final picture of a goof-ball hare gawping out at me as if smirking at my moment of failure. so I decided to get drunk wondering about the meaning of my existence, where upon i found in my fridge a lone can of something that looked more potent than Hornet venom (kindly left behind by my niece) I guzzled it down expecting heaven to cloud over... but no, nothing! so In the space of an hour I failed to become rich, I failed to become successful and even failed to get drunk!.. life goes on.
