Well.... Its that time of year again. When the families gather together for the parties and the feast. So, I thought I would share with all my FaceBook family and friends the absolute best recipe for Rum Cake. Its my all time favorite. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Best rum cake ever Ingredients: 1 or 2 quarts of rum 1 cup butter 1 teaspoon sugar 2 large Eggs 1 cup dried fruit 3 cups Flour Baking Powder 1 teaspoon soda Lemon juice Brown sugar nuts Directions: 1. Before you start, sample the Rum to check for quality. Good isn’t it? 2. Select a large mixing bowl, measuring cup, etc…. 3. Check Rum again. It must be just right. To insure Rum is of the highest quality, pour one level cup of Rum into a glass and drink it as fast as you can. 4. Repeat step #3. 5. With an electric mixer beat 1 cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl. 6. Add 1 seaspoon of thugar and beat again. 7. Repeat step #3. 8. Add 2 arge leggs, 2 cups of fried druit and beat till high. (If druit gets stuck in beaters, just pry it loose with a drewscriver. 9. Repeat step #3. Open the second quart of Rum if necessary. 10. Check Rum again, checking for tonscisticity. 11. Sift 3 cups of Pepper or salt (it really doesn’t matter which one.) 12. Repeat step #3. 13. Sift 1 pint of lemon juice 14. Fold in chopped butter and strained nuts. 15. Repeat step #3 16. Add 1 babblespoon of brown thugar (or what ever color you can find) 17. Wix mel. 18. Grease oven an turn cake pan to 350 gredees. 19. Pour the whole mamned dess into the coven and ake. 20.
