Well, Jack is very worn out from his big visit to the surgeon, but we have only GREAT news to report! Both of Jacks hips look wonderful in the x-rays, including the hip that was surgically repaired. Jacks broken left front leg has healed incredibly well and xrays show NO SIGN of infection That means we will NOT need to amputate!!!!!!! At this time, the surgeon recommends we leave in the pins and plates. As you can see in the video, Jacks leg is also no longer in a splint. Jacks recovery has been nothing short of a miracle. Regarding Jacks next phase of recovery - he needs to be neutered and then he will be cleared to go to a foster home, where his activity will still need to be limited for the next six weeks. He has one more appointment with his surgeon in six weeks. At that point, we expect him to be completely discharged from medical care and he will be ready for adoption. We thank everyone who has followed Jacks journey since Aug. 15th. The tremendous outpouring of financial and emotional support has been been completely overwhelming and we truly could not have saved this boy without this incredible collective effort. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
