Well Pixel is home, and hes the only dog Ive ever heard of, that they couldnt manage to keep his mouth bandaged together afterwards. He scratched them off, no matter what they did, even with a bucket over his head!! So hes home looking remarkably normal, apart from all his shaved bits. Got a bandage round his ribs, to keep the ribs that were broken in place, and they didnt have to wire them which is great. And a jaw wired together. And now weve got to keep him from chewing for a month to six weeks!!! Which is gonna be tricky. He can eat soft food that doesnt need chewing, and were gonna have to watch him like a hawk that he doesnt find a stick or bone to chew…. But hes okay :) Surprisingly sprightly, and awfully glad to see us. Hes even recovered enough to hump his favourite teddy bear :) And Chookie is still sick. I took her to an avian vet today, and shes got a virus, and theres nothing we can do except what Im already doing. And surrender. So I give her meals of chook food in yoghurt, brown rice with miso, coriander, activated charcoal, and apple cider vinegar, homemade garlic oil in everything, lots of fresh medicinal greens, aloe vera, and droppers of vegemite and vitamin c water. And shes getting lots of Reiki from me and everyone else who drops round too. So its pet hospital city central round here.
