Well, Vettey Levi got me. My number is 11. 1. I was in the Army (reserve for 3 years), and the Navy (active 6 years, reserve 5 years, IRR 3 years) 2. When I was 4 years old, I wanted to know if I could hang from a leaf. My answer was a large scar in my calf from the nail in the board I fell on. My first encounter with physics did not dampen my fascination with it. 3. Even though 3 years of my military service was spent at the Naval Air Station Andrews Air Force Base (where I worked on P-3 Orions), I have only flown once in my entire life, and that was in a 4-seater biplane. 4. My favorite historical figure is Albert Einstein. 5. I have acted in 4 plays since Ive lived in Berkeley Springs. One was a staged reading, in one I only had 1 line, and in the other two, I had no lines. I got my biggest laugh in one of the ones with no lines. 6. I am a published author. (one story, in a collection) 7. I am 5 minutes younger than my twin sister. She has always said that makes her my big sister which is fine, because it also means she turned 50 first 8. My favorite job (next to my current one) was working in the lectures division of National Geographic. Had they not downsized in 1981, I would probably still be working there. 9. I met Jane Fonda while I was helping build the offices of the Vietnam Veterans of America in D.C. Odd, huh? I was not impressed. 10. I am, believe it or not, pretty shy. I love being around people, but I feel socially awkward, and worry that I will do or say something stupid. 11. Even though I spent time in the military, I am a pacifist; to the point that I dont even like to squish bugs. I think I must have been a Buddhist in a former life... ;)
