Well, a pretty eventful Norfolk Show today, required some ingenious detours to actually make it in, but still was on site by 0905hrs. First stop the Members for a diet coke (honestly!)...thence to Oliver Arnold and chatted with Stephen Temple. Caught sight of John and Dee Manchett and took photos (evidence please Dx)....then full of inspiration went to CTM Harpley Engineering.....why is everyone looking so down? David Mountain passed away last night said Adrian Mountain....well you could have cut me off at the knees and I wouldnt have noticed....very, very sad. Walked around in a daze for 15 minutes, saw Keith Mount, David Richardson, Ken Leggett and many others. Descended on Gleadells for a chat with Chris Whiteford and Alistair Beales, which was fun. Then met up with Catherine Read and the outrageous Emma for a bottle of Prosecco, before heading off to Anglia Farmers for lunch. David Bolton and Robert Bojduniak, Edward Stanton, Chris Gardner, Andrew Ross and several more besides. A very acceptable lunch was had by all, and then the presentation to Michael Pollitt, retiring agricultural editor of the Eastern Daily Press. Guy Smith, NFU vice-president paid a huge tribute to a man who has supported Norfolk agriculture for over 30 years (and British Sugar too, I might add). All very uplifting stuff....and then I headed off before the masses had time to get organised....the days of being the last to get kicked out of the Members are now a thing of the past....where are my slippers..? ;)
