Well, after 4 treatments it seems like this Chemo thing does not - TopicsExpress

Well, after 4 treatments it seems like this Chemo thing does not necessarily follow a schedule as many books, articles, personal experiences and comic books (okay, I made that up...) how and when side effects will occur. Supposedly nausea and gastric distress usually happen first. Pain in the form of neuropathy and general muscle pain comes soon after. The dreaded (or un-dreaded if you arent Rastafarian) hair loss follows - but theres even arguments about that because you can lose hair on your head, face, body and even the public area :P So of course it is all out of order for me. A huge clump of hair came from the top of my head this morning. I now have neuropathy in my hands and throat - more painful than I thought it would be. Of course, it could be a lot worse and I count my blessings. I have had offers of some bouquets that will alter my mood as well as an outlook on my immediate life - well see about that. So thanks once again for your continued support and notes and gifts and homeopathic remedies that has helped my mental and physical recovery. As much as some of you think its not a big deal, ITS A BIG DEAL. BLESS YOU AND YOURS - and if you need ME for anything, let me know. It helps me to know that I can be there for you, too.
