Well after having to inhale the second hand smoke from ignorant and arrogant smokers lastnight at the pub while working the door. Today I coughed up blood from the lungs. They wonder why I get really cheesed off when I simply ask them (smokers) to move 3 metres down wind from me and 4 metres from the door of the hotel as per the laws. It does not help when the other guard I work with is a smoker and stands in the doorway smoking himself and allows the drunk smokers to sit in the doorway at the end of the night smoking. The wind blows the smoke inside and patrons complain about it but nothing gets done. So I gave notice today that my health is more important than working at that hotel. I have a very understanding & respectful employer in the security industry, Thanks Brett I appreciate your understanding of my predictament. My lungs feel like I have been in body punch only boxing match for 10 rounds, they are very sore and breathing is some what uncomfortable. Yes the ventolin has had a workout today.
