Well, after last weeks scary flight, i spent the weekend recalibrating, doing online research, listening to advice from you good people, and generally working up my nerve to go to work today and fly over roofs and inspect them. Perfect test flight candidate: a barn in the middle of rural Sacramento County no power poles, no cell towers, no satellites. Just me a my retuned phantom 2. Recalibrated the iOSD, the RC assistant 1.1, the phantom 2 assistant 2.0, fully charged transmitter batteries, half charge phantom battery, (the same one used in the fateful flight), fully charged monitor battery. Did the pre-flight check up (including making sure my antennae were tight) compass calibration, prop tightness..had 11 satellites at take off and this was the result:
