Well after my 9th straight year in Sturgis, I have been asked.. will you ever miss out on a father & son week out there in the black hills? My answer is: “I will retire my vest AFTER the day I die” We have many more years to come and I know my dad will be there with me in spirit long after the tragic day he passes (many years from now we pray) and the father & son trip will always be possible as long as I am alive. I just hope to enjoy the great stories of fun, tradition, riding, meeting of new friends and of course the bikini admiring with a son of my own someday and pass on the NOMAD tradition and teach him about native honor and respect as well as my father has. You are truly a man that has not only impressed me in numerous ways but you have been a great role model and only wish someday I could walk in your moccasins and make the journeys as well as you do. It would really be hard to surpass the great things that you do and have done that I have seen with my own eyes. Wicasya wasagya nagi (Man who stands in a strong way) This was the name given to my father at his most recent sundance with his family watching and praying for his sacrifices.
