Well another lazy Day. Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads and Granddads. The showers at the Captain Cook Caravan Park at adventure Bay on Bruny Island was a little bit of a let down. You had to put a dollar in for the Shower which didn’t really bother me but the cubicles were very small and they had a shower curtain that was so close to the wall that the cold clammy slimy curtain kept on trying to wrap itself around my warm naked body. Grr not a nice feeling. Then the water was too hot then fluctuated too cold and so on. Hmm not a nice shower. Shell came back with the same report. Oh well somehow I was clean enough again and shaved. Back to the camper for breakfast and then off to the ferry. The ferry is a double Decker and quite efficient and very smooth even though there was a bit of a wind and the waves were crashing against it the ship hardly tilted. Off for a drive right around the coast to go and see a place called Cygnet, where a show on TV is filmed about setting up a little farm and the processes of self sufficiency. It’s called Gourmet Farmer for those who might know it. The coast drive was absolutely beautiful. Again up and down and a few tight curly roads but very pretty. We eventually got to Cygnet and I was hanging out for something from the bakery. Hmm a nice beef pie, a peppery pasty, or a spicy sausage roll. Found the bakery…nope closed. Chocolate factory next door, Shell had to check that out. There was a Market day down the road, well we have to find something there…. Nope only some nasty looking things that didn’t look very appetising and lots of nick knacks. Oh well looked through some of their wares and then back to the camper. Well we might as well keep going around the coast off towards Huonville. Hmm here is a bigger town, we will stop here and find a bakery….I don’t believe it everything seems closed on a father’s day with beautiful weather everyone driving around looking to spend their money. Oh well looks like Subway LOL at least they are consistent. Well almost. Then headed to Kingston where we were going to stay a few nights earlier. Looked for a Caravan site there but the closest one to Hobart was going to be Cambridge which is where the airport is located. As we are flying out tomorrow and have to return the camper etc it should be ideal. Had a drive around Kingston and enjoyed the beautiful beach and scenery. Now at Cambridge , in Ballina Caravan Park. A chat with a lady whom is going home to Perth tomorrow and has just finished a trip around Tassie as well. Now back to the camper for a glass of wine and cook some tea. Well what a fantastic trip. Hope you enjoyed the trip with us LOL
