Well, as I look at the holidays seasons coming up, I am reminded of my childhood past. I remember that Thanksgiving and Christmas were full of happiness and joy. Each year, I cannot help feeling down but when your childhood memories kick in I cannot help it. I remember when I used to go to downtown Williamson with dad and mom I remember that town would be full of people shopping for the holidays. I remember that you would literally bump into someone due to crowds. Now, I guess that the things of the past. I would love to hear musics playing outside while walking down the sidewalk with mom and dad. Would love to see the stores glistening in lights as you window shopped. Would love to see the nativity scene displays at the courthouse along with Santas building. Have you have memories of smelling fresh popcorn popping from G C Murphys or R H Hobbs? How about Strosniders Drug Store smelling hot dogs? Holiday seasons are my worst months because a part of me died. I have many memories of eating my moms apple dumplings and crisp during the holidays. Boy, taking a trip down memories lanes. Thanksgiving and Christmas should be year round. Why? Not giving presents or keeping Christmas tree up year round except for me..lol. Thanksgiving and Christmas are year round anyways. You give thanks to God for his mercies, love, and grace. Most of all, you give thanks for giving his Son, Jesus. He came and give His life in order for us to live. Every now and then I will take trip down memories lanes because they are special to me.
