Well, as much as I hated having to do it, I had to give up my CREC Instructors job at the Public Safety Academy. A couple of unknowns crept into the mix...like my not having dealt with teenagers in a classroom in over 25 years, and the fact that Im 67, and my health is an issue at times. So to avoid becoming a health hazard to myself, I just sent my resignation to my boss. Im not one to quit, and I work(ed) for a group of amazing people with vision, empathy, and professionalism, so this was really hard for me to do. Our head administratior, Alvin Schwapp, is an amazing, flexible, professional man, and a friend, so Ill allow myself a bit of regret at having let him, Daryl Roberts, and my direct boss Jeanine Allin down. And my good friend and former fellow officer/detective Rebecca Leger, But reality bites sometimes...
