Well as positive as Ive tried to be about my foot and the swelling - TopicsExpress

Well as positive as Ive tried to be about my foot and the swelling and pain Ive had, it turns out I was right, unfortunately. There was something wrong. I insisted the doctor order an X-ray and MRI before I started my physical therapy because of the swelling I was experiencing and the fact that it just never felt right. Those mechanics in my foot that I expected to hurt until they healed just never ever seemed to feel the way it should. For whatever reason, my doctor felt like I was just overly concerned over what I wasnt familiar with... until I got the call this morning that the MRI showed the repair had failed and the tendons had come unseated. And Ive been trying to walk like that, on misplaced tendons per the doctors order for over a month trying to prepare for physical therapy. So the scheduler will call today to set me up for surgery. At least I wont have to deal with the bone being shaved down again, but its going to set me back a couple of months. Months I should be healing and strengthening to prepare for my other foots surgery. On the brighter side, at least the mistake has been found. This kind of swelling this far out of surgery just isnt normal. All the nerve pain Ive been experiencing at least has a REASON. So now, round two. Im happy to have this identified, but Im really not looking forward to this again.
