Well as we close in on the end of August, overall membership in the GAWG is still practically the same as this time last quarter (99.57%; rounded 100%); again for months now we have been slowly gaining seniors (100.21% when compared to last quarter), but still losing cadets (98.87%; rounded 99% when compared to last quarter), however the rate of loss of cadets is not as great as in previous months. That is encouraging. Lets double down on retention efforts; every cadet needs a mentor and hopefully it is a mentor that has been in CAP longer than they have been. Also, seniors need mentors; especially when in come to PD requirements. For those squadrons that are actively recruiting and have a recruiting plan; keep up the good work! For those that are not actively recruiting and have no recruiting plan; what are you waiting for?????????????? Finally, especially for those squadrons still trying to find their way regarding recruiting, lets remember that our national recruiting officer has recently produced a good, basic twelve month recruiting guide (see below). LETS USE IT! All are encouraged to print it off and keep it someplace where it can be easily accessed (remember not everyone in CAP uses the web, email, or computers; there is still a place for hard copies). https://facebook/notes/cap-recruiting-retention/recruiting-is-a-year-round-process/1438675639754067
