Well, at 10:36 Tuesday, March 18, 2014, my beautiful, precious Aunt Gladys breathed her last and went to heaven to be with Jesus and a whole bunch of loved ones that she has missed for SO long. The soldier won the battle and is in heaven somewhere. When I was a little girl, I called her Ga because I couldnt say Gladys and the nickname stuck. I now live in the world without my Ga in it. Im happy for her, but I am SO sad for me. I will miss her more than words can say. Dad and Mom are doing ok. They feel the same way as I do. It would be deeply appreciated if you would hold off on phone calls and please give them a few days alone to grieve. Cards and prayers, tho, would be most welcome. Thank you all for your love. Donna & Roy & I want to especially thank our dear, dear friend and sister Alice Fieler. These last weeks could not have happened without her. We just could not have taken proper care of Gladys without her. She is a jewel of a friend and the most kind hearted person I ever met. Gladys called her, her Daughter and they loved each other a lot. The nurses and aides from Heartland Hospital were absolutely wonderful. I highly, highly recommend them if you ever should need home hospice. We also had help from our cousin, Debbie, and good friend and personal nurse, Terie Winkler. Terie, you made these last few days bearable. Thank you for your time and talent and friendship. To Alice, Terie and Debbie: We see Jesus in you. Love, Linda, Roy and Donna
