Well, basically yiz all know that Im really not the type who gets very involved in charitable actions, especially on social media and the like...but to be honest, Im really glad the whole #ALSicebucketchallenge has become such a big thing. Having watched my gorgeous Nan, who was one of the strongest and bravest women I had ever known succumb to this horrendously cruel and incurable disease and have her life ended in only a few short months broke my heart a million times over. Before this, I had never even heard of ALS, but know I will never forget the devastating effects it has on sufferers and their families. So I wanna say a massive thanks to Clara for nominating me to do the challenge...Im not gonna nominate anyone else cause Im sure everyone is really sick of having their newsfeed completely spammed (also, I really dont get the whole point of dumping a bucket of water over your head) But I really do hope that all this does manage to raise a lot more awareness about Motor Neurones Disease, and that even if people dont donate, that they will actually take some time to educate themselves and find out a bit more about the whole thing immda.ie
