Well boys and girls in between working on the yard while taking a break, I got to looking at used motorhomes?? I found this one at PPL here I Houston, tried to drive by Saturday but that just didnt happen...Maybe that was a good thing??? Seems that this morning I seen where it was Sale Pending but I had a question about it so I called PPL... The salesman said Yes there is a sale pending on it but the man trying to buy it lives in South Africa, and thinks hes just going to get into it and drive off into the sun set... Well my friends thats Not going to happen!!!! Seems that the present owner thinks its a Gold Mine on 8 tires??? And here is what I was told by that salesman.. The interior is in fair to good shape, but it has a lot of minor problems and the present owner wont budge off of that $5,999.00 for it?? First it will crank, but dropped dead that 454 requires gas to run, called the present owner..OH I forgot to tell you there are two switches under the dash, one for the booster fans cause it runs a bit hot, and the other is to an electric fuel pump...OK its out of gas so one of the sales men drove it one mile to a service station..It ran really hot??? Got it towed back to the lot, and the second thing is the generator Will crank, but doesnt put any voltage neither 12volt nor 110 to run the roof A/C units??? or any thing??? Now I was a mechanic for years and if that 454 is shot, I have a neighbor who has two 454 engines that are freshly rebuilt, and run great!!!..He told me if I ever need one of those 454 engines just come get it. So thats no problem.. Wiring I can do that so no biggie there...Needs a brake job and that can get rather high dollar, tires are about $300.00 a piece and it has a drag axle which gives it 8 tires on the ground and one under it as a spare...Thats a biggie!!!.. Truth in advertising and what can I say, that salesman I talked to gave me the real facts..Yet the owner wont budge off of that 6 grand??? But as far as the motorhome its self its an 1987 Executive and 34 foot long... I know that Executive builds a great motorhome and they were and still are high priced motorhomes... So Guess Ill go look at it see if I can talk the owner down on his price, to me its a $2,500.00 motorhome as is where is..BTW if someone does buy it, they will need a big wrecker to haul it off PPL property, no working on it there...So here is this Little Jewel..Yeah that wood steering wheel is worth that price....LOL.......
