Well dang! 21 degrees with a windchill of 13........and ice on the whole pond this morning, guess its time to get out the extra warm ski pants to go with my already Nanuk of the North look Ive had going on... Lots to do today, straw to get down out of the barn loft, Christmas trees & all the decorations to pull out of the barn loft too. Lots of decorating/cleaning yet to do in the barn for our Open House this Saturday here at Hoosier Heartland Alpacas llc. This morning I made the prettiest 2 yarns Ive ever made here. I had dyed some white alpaca rovings, and had 2 bobbins already spun with single plys, and I had 4 ounces of black alpaca roving spun single ply that I used to ply with each f the other 2 dyed bobbins.......I just cant tell you how beautiful it turned out. Ive known for about 3 months that is what I would do with these dyed rovings and in my mind this would be beautiful...........well, its better than I could have imagined. Ive got a couple more skeins to make today and they will all be available to you on Saturday....you wont go wrong with these beautiful home grown, home dyed, home spun alpaca yarns.....and if you dont take them home, I can only dream of what I can make from them......theyre simply gorgeous!
