Well, despite my best efforts to protect my plants, last nights frost pretty well killed them, even the ones I covered. It was down to 25 degrees. So I wiped away a tear for the beautiful flowers that kept our front yard so pretty, and said goodbye to our fertile tomato plants, and I think a couple of cabbages have been spared, but we have at least two more nights, so they will probably be dead before the weekend is up. The silver lining is my mother in law, my sister in law, and my mom have provided me excellent advice on how to winterize my plants so that they bloom next spring. (thank you). Anyone who may have good tips and ideas of landscaping, I am open to any suggestions, I have an entire season to plan...and save money. lol.
