Well done to Ramsey Junior school who have gone from Special Measures to Good in a single bound. The school are celebrating after a recent Ofsted report took them out of special measures and judged them as good in all four categories. We have also been supporting the school in its work to make improvements. Inspectors took the school two places to good – which means it is effective in delivering outcomes that provide well for all its pupils’ needs. Pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or employment. The report judged the school as good in the four categories of leadership and management, behaviour and safety of pupils, quality of teaching and achievement of pupils. Patsy Peres, Executive Head teacher, said: “We are delighted that the latest Ofsted report reflects the hard work that staff, governors and the pupils have put in to moving the school out of special measures. It is also very pleasing to see we have jumped over the category of adequate and into good. We will now continue to drive forward the improvement of Ramsey Junior School and aim for outstanding.” cambridgeshire.gov.uk/news/article/169/ramsey_junior_school_goes_from_special_measures_to_good_in_a_leap
