Well done to Wales and England for their victories this past weekend. I did not see the Eng/Aus game so no comments there, but as for the Wales/Bok game....very poor performance by us. But they say you only play as well as the opposition lets you! That was a brilliant performance by Wales in all aspects. Earlier this year they were denied by 1 point, this time they closed out the game with physicality, scrumming the Boks resulting in poor ball for Hougaard who is out of his depth at the moment. (that was in the last 5 minutes when we had a great opportunity to snatch the game). But it was more than that, obliterated in the loose, smashed in the tackle, tactically out-smarted throughout the game. For once HM could not use his famous line...we can take the positives...no ways HM, you have homework to do. You missed many opportunities to blood a few more youngsters, to develop a game plan for next years WC, to give the golden oldies a rest. Now our Captain is seriously injured (very unfortunate) and although it is not your (HM) fault it really was not necessary for him to play so many games...just my opinion. All is not lost except that there is probably no beer left in Wales this morning. If the Ireland game was not a wake up call then our Boks need better game management and a more flexible game plan, if there is one at all! I read somewhere this morning that HM will tempt Steyn and Fourie out of retirement, please please please lets play the boys that want to play! Have a great day everybody!
