Well done to the men who made a sterling effort to get out to the blustery Met League today. Ill mention them all as we only just had 12 men, which is what you need to score without penalty for a team (non-existent runners score as though they finished at the back). And without points there is a very real risk of relegation in to a lower league. In the end, the transport was fine despite the central line outage. The league XC races (Chingford and Met) are really important for us to maintain our standing and show the other (and bigger) London clubs what we are capable of #VPH4ever Here they are, the glorious 12, in no particular order Sam Humphrey Neil Cook Ben Wickham Tomas Stasionis Simeon Bennett Andy (not on FB) Hutson Connor (not on FB) Johnston Sam Wakeford Gary Bagnall Steve Hobbs Tim Miller (whose daughter also ran) + Special mention to Stephen Shanks who drove all the way from Nottingham just to compete. Thanks to Mr Carr who officiated for all of the races having done the same at parkrun already this morning! For the women we had three brave souls: Helen Croydon, Charlie Maling and Jo Singer who kindly stuck around in the cold and cheered us on afterwards.
