Well eleven months ago I was given an ultimatum and to consider taking redundancy. I didnt want to go, I liked my job and I gave every ounce, often driving through the night to get the job done. Towards the end I had more written warnings, and two final written warnings all running at the same time. I had a manager who even swore down the phone at me, so I took the money and even got more, because of the deal, they wanted to conclude ASAP. I took the gamble, and having applied for at least twenty jobs a day, a few interviews, I landed the job I have now, willing to step down and become a trainee on commercial gas. A few months ago I passed my natural gas certification. Today I passed my LPG commercial gas, moral of the storey, you can always teach an old dog new tricks. Looking good for the pay raise. Oh and with the old company we always got a ten pound voucher for Christmas. This year me is going to the company party, with wife fully paid for with a hotel stop over. Um life can look brighter for the old dog.....
