Well...eventful day to say the least. My son woke up this morning and said his throat hurt. He acted fine, so I just figured his throat was dry. No way could he be sick, again. He was just sick two weeks ago. So gave him something to drink, took him to school, all was fine. Picked him up, this afternoon, and he says momma my throat hurts worse than what it did this morning and he was running a fever. This is, again, my I never get sick child. I do believe we are on our second round of strep throat in two weeks...Lord help us. He came home from school and went straight to bed. I went to pick up his medicine, and when I came back, he was sacked out. I woke him long enough to give him his antibiotic and some ibuprofren, and took him to his great-grandmas house. I have to separate him and Aniston when he is sick so she doesnt get anything. If she gets sick, its an admission to the hospital. I just want to be able to love on my baby boy when he gets like this. He is getting to big to love on, or so he thinks, and when he is sick, I have to take him somewhere else. Rips my heart out of my chest. As for Aniston, she was a champ with shots today. We have kept up with the ibuprofren with her today, too, as to keep the fever away. She cried, but not for long. Shots are done until she turns 11, with the exception of flu shots and having blood drawn several times a year. This momma is tired and I think I will be going to bed with the chickens, tonight...after I fold the clothes and wash the dishes, and wash bed sheets to ward off any other sneak attacks of the dreaded strep throat in two more weeks or before it haunts another individual in this house. Chickens go to sleep around midnight, right???? Hope everyone has had a glorious day and has a wonderful weekend... Dont forget, Mitochondrial Awareness Week starts Sunday.
