Well finally after me having words with a group of polish men who I witnessed with my own eyes taking fish from the weir on the River Severn where Ive fished before to eat this & them staking in the ground wire traps with baited trebles on Lower Lode & where this video took place fish hanging themselves its been going on 2 years! I nearly took the law into my own hands as one night a 15/18lb mirror carp was bashed on the head with a wooden battern put in a plastic bag & walked away! I had my say i was out numbered but id seen enough it was fooking wrong I was raging! I even thought about going back middle of the night & smashing them all in with my little slugger but many things crossed my mind I went & had a beer & did the right thing! Im not a grass but the Environmental Agency needed to know what was going on in my back yard i wanted to see if they would do anything about it as Ive paid for my Rod License every year over 25 years! Theres a few friends on my list that will recognize this video & where abouts the arrests took place & I can confirm they acted very professionally did there job & Im very pleased they caught a few of them with two being arrested! They will now have to face a judge for the actions in court I know they have to survive I know they have to eat fish especially carp as its there main dinner but Im sorry what I witnessed was wrong I did the right thing no regrets from me now the River Severn & River Avon in Gloucester, Tewkesbury & Frampton will be monitored closely until the message gets across to these animals savaging our sport.
