Well, fine. Im gonna own this. This is a doosie of a personal confession. About 20 years ago, ( Brit was about 8, Alex about 5) my mother was being wooed by a gentleman. They came for a visit one Sunday afternoon in order to further our mutual acquantishment ( you know what I mean) and we were all sitting in the living room, smiling brightly at each other and trying to cough something up to say. Finally my mom took a plunge, looked at me and said Did you dye your hair AGAIN? This was back when I did it myself and it was always kinda whore gold. I have not. slightly embarrassed that she would say this when we didnt known him all that well. Slight embarrassment holds no candle to what happened next. Britt piped up, OH YES SHE DID! I SAW THAT BOX IN THE BATHROOM TRASH, ITS CALLED SUMMERS EVE! SHE BUYS IT ALL THE TIME, THERES 100 BOXES IN THE BATHROOM CLOSET Stunned we all looked at each other, waiting for someone to say anything. Brit looked puzzled, what was the big deal? Corky slunked down in his chair, his ears blazing purple. My mom and I gazed at each other, completely slayed. We all looked at Rod ( courter). He burst out laughing and then so did the rest of us. So sue me, I like to keep a clean house.
