Well folks I have to admit I went out to go downtown today in this winter weather and I confess I would much rather have been in Cape Town or Queensland than here. It was very cold and uncomfortable . it was pretty indeed with all the lights and things but miserably cold. I was warmly dressed but I did not feel good at all. Here are some pics The trees with the lights were good and the Canal ice is forming nicely but I felt like I wanted to be in the warmth of my apartment the whole time i was away. The Conference Centre photo here illustrated a degree of comfortable warmth though. Yes it was slippery on the sidewalks but I did not fall thankfully. This is the time of year for falling injuries. its also the time of year when there are the most number of motor accidents.
